The watchlist stocks are essentially companies/stocks we are watching along with the stocks within the portfolio (which we actually own). While we are of course try to be aware of all developments in the markets, we highlighted some specific additional stocks in the watchlist to provide members with a place to start outside research/homework if you are looking for some names not within the portfolio.
The "price watchlisted" is simply the price at which the stock was placed in the watchlist.
There are no requirements for when we would add one of the watchlist names to the portfolio, but we continue to watch these names in particular and follow for opportunities that we find intriguing. Whenever we bring in new names to the portfolio, we try to bring in names from this Watchlist.
Overall, it is simply an extra tool for members to use and a starting place to look into other names. When we sit on a big cash position and the market looks opportunistic, we always look to this watchlist first. In addition, since we own roughly 20 stocks, we do not always have availability to bring in new names to the portfolio -- but if there is an attractive pullback in one of the watchlist names that you like, you can use that as an opportunity to nibble at a position. As for the amount of a pullback, it depends on the company and the situation and what is going on in the broader markets at the time, but if you have been following the name for some time, you will have a strong idea of what the attractive levels are. In general, we view a 5% pullback in a high-quality, long-term name as attractive, but of course you must take all factors into account.
